So, we went to Vegas last weekend with the little one. The car ride was ok. It wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t perfect. I will spare you the minute details and just say that there was about 45min to 1 hour worth of crying both ways. So, 25% is not that bad. Of course, when we were stuck in traffic coming over the pass on our way home and the shrieks were out of control is when Mr. Grumpy says, “Well, we are never doing THIS again!”. LOL – I’m sorry but we can’t spend our lives in a bubble!
He did win $400.00 at the new poker room in the Venitian though. I must say that $75 of that was MY money that he STOLE from me. I had two pair (Aces & Queens!!!) and he had a pocket pair of fours and flopped a set. BOOO. I do admit that I have quite the advantage coming in to an all ‘boy’ table (they were all boys with the exception of my husband) and I won very easily. Men always seem to be scared of women in poker. At first anyway. They always underestimate you which proves to be their downfall. 🙂 hehe
I then went and blew his $400.00 on new Gucci sunglasses though. They are super cute! My last glasses I got in Hawaii three (four??) years ago and they were super scrachty on the lens. I sort of wished I had a girlfriend with me when I was trying them on. My dear husband is not the best shopper and when I tried different sunglasses on for him, all I got was a few faces of disgust when I picked out bad choices. At least a girlfriend would have had some good suggestions! LOL – We did find some though and I got his seal of approval.
It was a great weekend!
