AHHHH!!! We went to Olive Garden for dinner tonight and I left my car keys IN the engine (the car was off) and of course, the car was not locked… Duh!! At the table before leaving, I was searching everywhere… but there they were – in the car! I don’t think I have ever done that on purpose…
Today was lots of fun though. I went in with a bottle at 715 and Sam was sitting up playing with her animals. 🙂 We all got ready and then went to Disneyland! We headed straight to Fantasy Land and went to the Tiki Room. I had never been there but Justin had great memories and wanted to go. It was really cute! All these birds were singing and there was an enchanted fountain. Sam loved it.
Then we headed over to the Jungle Cruise which she liked. They added something new (well, we didn’t remember it…) towards the end! We were in the middle so didn’t get the full effect but everyone else JUMPED and screamed! hahaha
After that we went to Pirates of the Carr and saw the new Johnny Depp stuff. He’s in their twice, that we could see, I thought it was a little silly they all just kept repeating Dave Jones. Anyway. It was fun. We prepared Sam for the little fall and she had a death grip on our hands and was ok. Then we got a snack, she almost down a full pancake, we were shocked.
The Haunted Mansion was temporarily out of order so we kept walking to the Bear Country Jamboree. Or what we remembered used to be there. Now apparently it’s Winnie the Pooh Adventures. We thought it was a show but NO there is a RIDE over there. I have no clue when they put that in… I guess we are getting old.
We started walking back and I really wanted one of those lemonaide drinks I was seeing everywhere. I got a cherry flavored one and started sipping it. We decided to walk slowly back and go to lunch because it was getting late. When I was about half done with my drink I offered Sam some. She decided to keep a death grip on it and drank the rest of it! haha! They are pretty good! Somehow I knew she would do that…
I think her favorite part was running through the Disney store. You turn her loose in a store and she goes CRAZY. Running around in circles, hugging every stuffed animal, touching everything there is to touch, and then running around like a little crazy person some more. Every store we go to (if we let her out of her stroller) she is like that. You don’t get any shopping done, but she has tons of fun.
When lunch was done we said we were headed back to the car and Sam is so smart.. she knew Elmo and Big Bird were there and started asking for them! “Ehhhh-maa! Bee-Bee!” And she just looks at you with this funny face – I love EEHHHH-MA, Mommy. And Bee Bee too. And rinse, and repeat. She didn’t get to watch on the way home though but she is getting so smart! Everyday I’m so amazed at the things she knows! She understands almost everything I tell her/ask her to do. On the way home from DLand she was so full of energy (didn’t fall asleep in the car, darn it – but she did later for a 3 hour nap!) but she pointed out EVERY tree she saw. “Teeeee! Teeeeee!” We were like, yep, that’s a tree! There another one! You see anymore? LOL – There are a lot of trees on the street.
Time for bath though! What a busy weekend! Oh, her hair looked SO CUTE this morning! I got her bangs perfectly down on her forehead with her hair up in a ponytail. Halfway through DLand she handed me the rubber band though. I put it back in and she took it out. Ugh. 🙂 It started off cute though.
