You are 15 months today! You are such a big girl and an actual ‘little person’ now. It’s amazing how you grow.
We went to the doctor today for our regular appt and shots.
Let’s recap:
Birth: 7.1 lbs, 20 in
2 Month: 10.6, 22 1/4 in
4 Month: 13.6, 24 in
6 Month: 15.9, 25 1/2 in
9 Month: 18.4, 27 1/2 in
1 Year: 19.14 lbs , 29 3/4in
15 Months: 22.1 lbs, 31 1/2in
She jumped up! I was expecting her to be littler cause Doc said if she followed her percentiles she would be at 24lbs by her 2 year and she is already 22! At 1 year she was 25% for weight and 60% for height. Before that she used to be around the 50% for both categories. She jumped back up to 40% for weight and 80% for height! *sigh* I hope she’s TALL!
The rest of the Dr appt went well. Dr said he was impressed with her stranger anxiety as this age was usually the worst for it. When he walked in, I noticed her inching closer and closer to J’s legs and she ran around screaming for a bit and just wanted up on my lap at that point. She started to squack when he came at her with the light dealio but he showed it to her first and she just sat there! After he was done she started playing ball with him, throwing the ball, and he was catching it and throwing it back to her. So he said many kiddos are usually freaking out the whole time and she didn’t. Yea for Sam! She is pretty good as long as we let her assess the situation first and don’t make a big deal out of new people.
New things she is doing…. She is starting to shake her head NO! We are usually careful to say “We don’t do that, Sam” or something along those lines instead of just NO. Obviously, some no’s get out but now her little head shakes around a lot. Not even if she doesn’t want anything, she is just starting to shake it anyway. It’s not even a real SHAKE too… it’s like a half shake. When you shake your head, usually she turn it three times, right? Left, right, and back to left. She just does it to one side and back, it really looks like she’s just ruffling her hair. haha – I dunno. Probably will get annoying soon but for now it’s cool.
She’s not really talking either but she says recognizable grunts and shrieks for particular things so we aren’t to worried about it.
She wants to read a book now though, so I gotta go!
xoxo
