I made it to the store, searched and searched for the spice aisle, and spent forever hunting down Turmeric. Even more importantly, I hunted down the safe spice Turmeric that isn’t paired with starch or other additives. (I went with Simply Organic.)
I struggled home in 75 degree weather.
Let the spice sit in my pantry for a few weeks.
But this morning, I finally put some coconut oil in the pan, sprinkled some Turmeric and let it cook, before pouring in scrambled eggs.
I ate it. I didn’t die.
And it tasted pretty good. Not that much different from regular scrambled eggs.
All that said, I don’t know if that sprinkle of Turmeric is actually going to help me at all? How much Turmeric do you need to have an affect?
I’d take a pic but it would be of my empty plate…
Do you take Turmeric and what else do you use it in?

Kristi,
I use it in just about everything! One way I use it is when brewing coffee or tea. For coffee, I put my grounds in, sprinkle with a little (or a lot) of cinnamon, then a sprinkle of Turmeric! I all just gives it a great taste. Sometimes I’ll make my Fat Coffee with some Coconut Oil or Coconut Cream or Kerry butter, and a teaspoon of Cocoa powder. That makes a good breakfast!
Nice! I don’t drink coffee but will have to test it out when/if I drink tea. Thanks for the ideas!
