Today was our 2nd to last meeting of the year and we are trying to get rid of some of the badges we need to do since we spent the majority of the year visiting different countries around the world. We had one more country left that was a heritage of one of our girls and they brought in special sodas and snacks from Norway! Pretty awesome. I was actually running late as I doubled booked our yearly doctor appointment so I missed that part but I came in 15 minutes late for our badge work.
We decided to make use of our school’s computer lab and get our Computer Expert badge!
Look at that little mouse! Double mice! I actually think I just realized it was two mice just now… I think that’s hilarious. I’m so slow.
These girls are pretty much experts since they are in the computer lab every single week anyway. We made a card for Father’s Day, looked up some pictures and had fun!
After, we went back to the room and used some crayons & markers to decorate the cards up a little better. The girls had fun. We then did a Court of Awards ceremony because I have been LAZY and organizing all our badges takes time and well… yea. So I stapled them all to ribbons, passed them out, and went over all the awesome things we have done in the last four months!
We had a Holiday badge that took two months to come in. Wearable art from when we made tshirts, card making, and a bunch of badges. Some from Cookie Sale time, our First Aid badge, Making Friends from when we helped the two Daisy Troops in our school. The girls got the Camp Scherman badge who went, and our Journey Badge that we finished up last month!
I’m so glad I don’t have a sewing machine. I’m also so glad I’m not paying my dry cleaner to sew things on! My co-leader ROCKS! She took EVERYONE’S VEST HOME! Except she punched me first. On the arm. It hurt. I forgive her though. Especially since she said she would have them all done by this Thursday, our last meeting!
I said she was crazy, she didn’t have to do it. But she seems insistent. Good times! I love that woman!
Next week is our end of year party and we are heading to the park to celebrate. 🙂 I love park meeting days. So easy!
