ARGH! It’s supposed to RAIN on Friday & Saturday now! EEK!
I won’t be able to get Sam her bouncy house if it rains. I’m so sad… I made all the plans today to move her party into our house instead of outside. It should be fine, we have enough room but I really wanted an outside party (with heaters – lol) where she could play on the bouncy, play pingpong, use her slide, and the poker room could be open to the backyard. So annoying.
Justin keeps insisting that it probably won’t rain Saturday afternoon and we can just put it up in the front yard (our backyard swamps…) instead… but weather.com clearly says rain both Sat morning and Sat afternoon – not to mention definite rain on Friday. And if it is anything like last Friday we are going to be in for it! Oh well. Our house is big enough and Sam has enough toys to keep the kiddos that are coming, entertained. I’m still bummed though. I just wanted the bouncy house! Oh well, can’t rule it out yet.
Yesterday Sam and I went to Disneyland by ourselves. Justin went to the Laker game. It was fun! I kept going back and forth about going or not. Our playgroup was going so we were going to meet them but Sam slept in late – we actually woke her up at 430 (she is still sleeping now – 4:55pm – nice one) and I decided to go.
I’m so glad I went! I got THE BEST parking spot EVER. Four cars away from the entrance to the tram. We were in the Pinocchio lot by Mickey & Friends. As we walked up to the tram, I walked to the end (more on that later) and as I got behind one waiting stroller, the tram was filled and about ready to go and a woman started screaming!!! She was asking for water because someone was having a seizure. Everyone just paused and was looking around. I had my water bottle in the stroller and I just left Sam where she was and ran up to the tram and handed her my bottle. The man (he was a young guy – in his 20s probably) was seizing up in the tram. Luckily, they said he had his medication with him and they were just holding him. The family didn’t want 911 called. The Disney folks moved us along to the next tram section and when we went past, they were sitting all alone on there and he was just leaning over. I’m sure he was fine if he had his medication and we also saw the ambulance pulling up. I got to do a good deed for the day (I have no idea if they even used my water bottle thou) but sheesh, scary what can happen!
Anyway, the park was gorgeous. We walked in to a huge group of carolers in front of the train station. When I say huge, I mean huge. There must have been 400 or 500 of them all on bleachers in front of the train. I think it was their lighting ceremony for the tree as the tree was dark. It was some show! We kept on walking though. Sam and I had a good time, we went on the carousel and had dinner together. Then, we went on the carousel again (LOL) and I warmed her up a bottle and we walked out. I got some suckers for her stocking from Santa. Hopefully she didn’t notice as I was buying them while she was sucking down her milk. hahahaj
Well, this week should be fun! I’ve been running around getting stuff for Sam’s party. Krysta had THE BEST idea for table decorations after my idea (which was kinda lame anyway) did not pan out after visiting 4 stores. Sheesh. We have a busy weekend with Justin’s company party on Friday evening, Sam’s bday party on Saturday, and her birthday on Sunday! Yea!

It never rains when they say it’s going to rain. Last week they said we might have a possibility of a little rain and it rained all day Friday. Happy early birthday to Sam!
So many birthdays this month! I guess I will be seeing all of you on the 16th. Good luck with the bounce house! A couple years ago my friends actually threw me a birthday party and got one for old times sake… and I found that I just didn’t have the endurance for bounce houses anymore! LOL. Where did it go?!
Happy 2nd b-day to Sam!

Drew – It’s not looking pretty! Friday is now 70% chance of rain and Saturday is sticking it out at 40%. The good news actually is that Saturday ‘night’ is saying partly cloudy with 10% (the 40% is for the day). Bleah. Anyway, I will keep monitoring it and I will call the bouncy house tomorrow anyway to see what they say.
Erika – Bouncy houses are definitley for kids and we are such grownups now. hahaha – See you on the 16th! I told Sharon we could have it at our house but I think we may go out since her kitchen is being redone.
