My poor barking baby. She doesn’t sound that bad but she definitely doesn’t feel good.

She spent this morning after Gymboree pitching a huge fit for about 45 minutes wanting to watch… EHHHHHHhhh-MAAAAA (Elmo). We sometimes will jump on the computer so I can check my email *smile* and I minimize some windows and have a YouTube video in the background and we look up Sesame Street videos.

Except now all the ones with Elmo in them she starts shaking her head and saying NO! Well, if she won’t watch the first 10 videos with Elmo in them we are done watching movies. LOL – So that was like SO much fun.

But my point is that while she was crying, her poor little voice was all pitchy and scratchy and it didn’t help after crying for FOR EVER.

So after lunch we read a book and she wanted milk, so I gave her the sippy cup which she drank from. She wanted it in her bed so I gave it to her (never done that before) but she snuggled up to it next to her face. Weird. I left and she started crying a few minutes later. I waited 15 minutes until I couldn’t stand the sound of her poor sicky wail and went up there.

She wanted milk. I had her sippy! She wanted a baabaa though. So I put her back in her crib and told her I would go get her a baabaa. Sad, I know but I felt bad for her! It’s really cute how she will wait in her crib when I tell her I’m going to do something! She had a big smile on her face when I came up with the bottle.

About a month ago we moved to from one sippy cup of milk during the day to two. The morning and afternoon. We still give a bottle for when she wakes up and before her bath. She loves her bottles and our Doctor said that there is nothing wrong with giving her a bottle, it’s only ‘socially’ wrong to do so. The only way it would be wrong is if she took it to bed with her (cause it’s bad for their teeth) and we don’t do that. But it’s easier with a sippy cup instead of heating up a bottle.

Anyway, I rocked her an gave her the bottle and hummmmed to her… and she feel asleep in my arms. Awwww… I guess I’m going to get more of that in a few months, huh! It’s nice to get to do it with my ‘old’ baby right now though.

Poor sickie. I’m listening to her cough in her sleep right now though. I had to run upstairs and turn on the humidifier.

When my kids get sick like that and get that cough where they sound like they are choking my pedeitrican told us to give them Lactaid. My son will only drink milk. Nothing else. So when he gets sick we give him the lactaid and then he does not get all flemy. You should ask you doctor about it. I hope she feels better soon.
