Today was our first day of Level Two Gymboree for the 6 month to 10 month group. We were a little sad to leave our friends but it didn’t disappoint us! It was SO MUCH FUN! While Level One was very comfortable and cozy with singing songs, massages, and chatting… Level Two is much more interactive! We got to play soccer while Mom held Sam up (great arm workout!), sing the Wheels on the Bus on the rollypolly log, and play teeter-totter on a big orange mattress. Plus, we still played parachute which is Sam’s favorite game. We are excited that Isaiah and Xavier will be joining us next week along with their mommies, Jessica and Susan. Hopefully Vance and Nicholas will be coming over in the next few weeks too. Other than that, there were six other kids in the class although two of them are moving up to Level Three next week so we won’t get a chance to play.
Before we walked into Gymboree today we got to say a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Grandma Jerra! Wow! She is 50 years old today (am I allowed to say that? heehee) and taking it easy with Grandpa John and going up to Bacara in Santa Barbara. It looks like a pretty nice place, we are so glad they are getting away for a few days.
Swimming is Sam’s new favorite activity. We were going to start swimming classes but who needs them with Grandma’s pool only five minutes away? Sammy loves to swim in her big turtle while we kick her around the pool. There is a waterfall that she loves to swim by and look at it and hold her hands out for the water. With the hot weather coming up in the next few days we will be sure to be in the water quite a bit! We will make sure to keep the sun screen slathered on though.
