Poor Sickie…

Well, Tuesday night was SO ROUGH. Justin got the first few times from 9-12 or so, she was waking up every 45min or hour and then after that, I started going in. He needed his sleep! I actually just went in and curled up with her because after coughing every 10 min and crying every 40 and needing to be soothed, it just wasn’t WORTH it to me to go back to bed, toss and turn to get into a good position, try and fall asleep (and not) only to be woken up. Plus, she needed the comfort so I slept with her.

And I say ‘sleep’ TOTALLY facetiously. I feel so bad for parents who go through this all the time. This is the first time I have seen her this sick, but I know others have gone through it every other month (exagerating) since their kiddo was born.

At 5am I finally stumbed back to bed near tears because I needed SLEEP. Luckily when she woke up again a few minutes later I pushed Justin out of bed and he immediately jumped in there. 🙂 Whew. I got another hour or two so that was good.

Then yesterday she was feeling so awful we just sat in our bed with the portable DVD player (no DVD player for our TV in our bedroom, lol) and watched all her videos OVER and OVER again. She wanted to stay in our bed and not go downstairs. She was able to perk up a bit each time we had our dose of motrin or tylenol but then she went to being fussy after that small bit of play time.

Bedtime last night was 730 (they were in bed by 7!) a full hour early, she needed it. Then we had a 12am and a 5am wakeup. She is still sleeping right now, 815am (crazy!).

I went to bed at 9pm and I feel SO MUCH BETTER with sleep. Ahhh…

I can’t decide if I should take a shower or just wait for her to get up. I think I’ll wait!

Ahh, she just got up anyway. hehe

I’m so sorry that poor Sam is ill. Better now than in a few weeks though, right? Maybe it’s God’s way of getting you accustomed to a baby’s sleep schedule!

I can’t wait to hear the news of the little dude. Good luck good luck good luck. It’s so exciting. It really is. I love the anticipation. (I know… easy for me to say… I’m not birthing the babe…)
