Wisdom of the masses…. HELP!
I used to have my contacts in Outlook. Then, I moved to an iPhone and I had duplicate contacts and I never used Outlook anymore so I kept them in Google/Gmail. My computer freaked out and I lost all my data, including Outlook, so I had my backup from Google since the iPhone exported to Google. I’ve been using Google/Gmail for the past year and congratulating myself on how ‘organized’ I was being until I just tried to print mailing labels exporting my contacts from Google.
Google exports them in ONE LINE so I had to manually go and separate all the addresses. I looked for help but apparently there was no great solution. Google has an export feature where it exports the addresses into vCard format but that is basically Outlook…
So… are you proud of how organized you are? PLEASE TELL ME HOW YOU DO IT!
Do I need to set up Outlook again and keep my mailing list and contacts in there? Is there another way to do it?

Do not laugh at this solution.
But for the last 6 years I have used Shutterfly to manage my mailing list. What? Well you enter your mailing address list and it lives there forever. I add to it, make changes whatever. Then when I create a christmas card there- one click and I send to all (or some) and the do the stamp and mailing FOR ME.
But I use the list all the time. And since it is web based I can find my friends and family addresses from anywhere on any system with or without my iphone.
I swear by this method.
No way!! That’s super annoying! I hate messed up excel data. ahhhh.
You seem to be as organized as you can in the contact department. But for next time, there seems to be a way to export directly from your phone…. http://www.trickyways.com/2010/06/how-to-export-iphone-contacts-as-csv-file-in-windows-7/ Worth a try! Who wants to manually parce (sp) contacts!! yuck!
Jamie – I’m totally trying that!
Marcy – Can you print to your printer from SnapFish though?
