Me Shammie!

So for the past few weeks, I would randomly ask Sam, what’s YOUR name? And she would look at me and smile and shrug. I would say, “Can you say Sam?” and she would just look at me. Then, I would say, “Can you say Hammie?” and she sometimes would say ‘Hammie!’ so I would then ask, ‘Can you say Sammie?’ and she would still look at me and smile. 🙂

So, a few nights ago J was playing Candyland with Sam and she is always yellow and she was moving the piece and she said, “Shammie” in regards to the yellow piece!!! I was amazed! I looked at J and said, DID YOU HEAR THAT? Of course, he said she has been saying that for awhile, you haven’t been listening. LOL – Oops.

Anyway, I was reading her stories at nap time today and we were singing our night time song – which is really ridiculous, I am horrible at making things up but going something like “Goodnight to… (whoever)” and I say goodnight to a whole bunch of people including us, the Grandma’s, pizza, ice cream, and jelly beans (I made that part up – haha), some of the Disney characters. She always prompts me on who to say Goodnight to next. And today Sam said, “and Shammie” and I asked her, Who are YOU?

And she said, “Me Shammie!”
