There have been so many exciting things happening over the past week.
The main thing that happened with us is that John, Jerra, Justin and I sold the company on Tuesday. Yes, the company we spent the past 8 years building up. It’s extremely exciting. For us, our employees, and our clients. We have received many offers over the years but it never seemed like the right time or thing to do. The new company taking over is extremely employee-centric and has some great plans for everyone so that is exciting to see. John & Jerra are moving on to new things (right now they are jetting off to Hawaii – woohoo!) and nothing is changing for Justin and I.
So. Wow. Crazy changes. I must admit it feels a little odd. I have to go in next week and clean out my office. I will be sharing an office with Justin on the odd days I go into work, which will be amusing, I think.
Other than that, I got sick on Friday which sucks. I’m not a good sickie. I vegged on Friday and Sam was such a good girl and basically played all day very nicely. We moved from room to room and I sat down and she wandered around. It should be a rule that Mommies are only allowed to get sick on the weekends when they have extra help and can sleep all day. I’m sooo lucky for my support system!!! Sam does not look sick right now (knock on wood) so hopefully all those fun anti-bodies from breastfeeding are helping her immune system.
More fun changes….
Krysta’s IVF is progressing nicely!!!! I’m SO HAPPY FOR THEM!!! Brett’s surgury went perfectly. Krysta egg retrieval went great… I haven’t talked to her yet, just got some text messages, but they should be all set to implant next week. Wow! She is gonna be a Mommie in 8 months!!! (I say 8 because they are putting two eggs in… so she may have TWINS and everyone knows twins come early 😉
Nicole is also getting married! It’s offical. Mike proposed to her last night up in San Francisco. Awww…. They say they want their wedding date to be in Feb of 2008 on leap year. That way every 4 years they will take an awesome vacation on their anniversary date. hehe – That’s a great idea!
Sam started clapping today! She looks so happy when she does it. Probably cause we cheer her on. Super cute, I gotta get a video.
I’m still not feeling great so I will be heading up to bed.
